Around 80 people gathered in Southwell Minster’s State Chamber for this year’s Lent Lunch. Christian Aid 80th anniversary birthday cards from Minster School pupils were displayed for all to see. The Revd Arderne Gillies (Baptists Minster) opened the event, and Canon Amanda Lees offered heartfelt thanks to the committee, volunteers, and helpers whose efforts made the occasion such a success. A wonderful total of £762 was raised and will be donated to Christian Aid. Thank you to everyone for supporting this worthwhile cause. Grateful thanks are also extended to the Southwell Co-op who generously donated Fairtrade raffle prizes.
